“Thank you for the opportunity to tell you how much Stepping Stones Education Center means to our family. We had just moved to the Phoenixville area when our older son was ready for preschool. After interviewing a number of schools in the area, we were thrilled to be accepted by the Happy Hearts preschool program. Both of our children attended your school. We actually moved out of the area during our older son’s first year and chose to drive him to Happy Hearts instead of going to a closer school and then continue to drive for three more years so our older son could complete pre-school there and then our younger son would have the same opportunity.
Our sons were presented with opportunities for growth and basic pre-school education in a caring and creative environment, facilitated by your excellent staff of professional primary education teachers. The curriculum included not ABC’s and basic math but our sons were also exposed to music education, art goes to school. Library trips and basic computer education. Furthermore, you included field trips that made our children socially aware including PACS, the senior center, pen pals in Peru, and the ever popular fire company.
Equally important were the Christian values that were presented to our sons. As Catholics, we appreciated that Stepping Stones illustrated a loving and caring God and that our children would be surrounded by his love. WE applaud your ability to incorporate the teaching of Jesus into your curriculum. We believe the early childhood teaching that our children receive will serve them well throughout their lifetime. At Stepping Stones, our children were always welcomed with love and compassion.
Finally, we appreciate how the entire family was valued at Stepping Stones. There were a number of opportunities for the Parents as well as Grandparents to be at the school whether it was a bike parade, Family Fun Night, Pet Show or the Spring Olympics. Your availability was not limited to scheduled events. There were a number of times that you and/or your staff were available to families in need, to talk, to arrange for meals for a family or to give tips and tricks on practical parenting. For everything that you meant to us, for all that you have done to shape the future of our children, we are eternally grateful.”

“In 1997 we moved to Royersford from Glenmoore. My daughter Hannah was going to be three and we needed to find a preschool program. My husband and I knew we wanted a Christian program. Many programs are affiliated with a church but do not use a Christian curriculum. We needed a program that truly taught Jesus’ love. I struggled, calling many schools to find nothing even close to what we were looking for. I prayed for God to show me a school.
Then my Mom suggested I call Stepping Stone. She had heard it was a wonderful Christian preschool. The pasor, a personal friend, suggested she research the curriculum. So hesitantly, I called feeling ready to give up at this point. Even if the program was ideal, I had fears about schedule conflicts because of distance and my son Joshua’s kindergarten timing. I just figured it would never work.
After talking with Janet Hunter all my fears disappeared. I knew T had to find a way to make it work for Hannah to be able to attend this school. Janet assured me that Jesus was very much a part of the curriculum. Actually, we got so much more because I learned he was a part of the staff and board members daily lives. Hannah started coming home and sharing about God’s love. She was praying all on her own and she just loved going to school. God was so good he answered my prayers. I have had two more children, Simeon and Julia, that have attended preschool at Stepping Stone. The blessings have just continued to come. My whole family has experienced God and his love through the ministry at Stepping Stone. It builds on what we are teaching our children at home and what they are learning at church. Where else will your child’s teacher tell you, “I’ve been praying for you,” during a difficult time. How awesome is that? I can’t say enough! In fact I will miss it when my youngest goes into kindergarten in a year. It is a wonderful place and God definitely wanted us at that school. I am so thankful he led us here. The memories my children have from Stepping Stone will last a lifetime.”

“Stepping Stone Happy Hearts Pre-School was one of the best investments for the future of both of our children. It seems our world has gotten to a point where everything is very intense and very fast. We observed at Stepping Stone our children were able to step into a safe happy environment full of Gods love and they were able to move at their own pace. Our children were also loved for their unique abilities, encourage to grow, taught the needed structure for years ahead in grade school and the most critical lesson that God loves them and he gave his Son Jesus as a gift for them. Thank you Stepping Stone you make our hearts happy!”

“My son James is an only child, but very sociable and rambunctious. I knew
that a half day at Kindergarten would not be enough to stimulate him
intellectually or physically, so I carefully searched for a facility to
provide enrichment and afternoon activities. A dear friend recommended
Stepping Stone and I could not have been happier with the results. Not
only were the basic principles of math, reading and science taught in an
gentle manner, but active, outside play was also encouraged. As any parent
of a boy knows-they love to be outside! The kids also learned how to cook
basic treats, played games and generally had fun. James felt very
comfortable in his surroundings, and made several good friends among his
classmates. Every day, I had the peace of mind of knowing he was being
nurtured by the skilled and caring staff. Their inherent kindness shone
through.James is entering first grade this fall, and I can state with confidence
that Stepping Stone helped him mature and grow during the past year. Mrs.
Hunter, Mrs. Roehner and Mrs. Shanaman–I can’t thank you enough!”- Lisa Kolonay-Ehart
